How is test 2 different from test 1?
Test 2 embeds more decisions in context: survey vocabulary, conditional counts, dependent sampling, transformed variables, and model conditions. It is not a renumbered version of test 1.
Why does a conditional count use a smaller denominator?
The phrase given restricts the sample space. Only members of the conditioning group remain possible, so its count becomes the denominator.
How do linear transformations affect mean and standard deviation?
For Y = a + bX, the mean becomes a + b times the old mean, while the SD becomes the absolute value of b times the old SD.
What if my answer is numerically right but poorly interpreted?
Rewrite it with the population or event, direction, and units. Statistical meaning depends on the reference group and model, not just the numerical value.
